Day 3 - 26th December 2025
Day 3 I set off early and was greeted by a wonderful view of kites soaring not far away from me, at the same height as the road. I stopped to take some photos of them but would have been better with a longer lens. I briefly stopped at a reservoir where a few families were out for walks. At some point I managed to find a petrol station to fill up for the first time since the start of the trip.
I was aiming for the highest road in Wales and went down some very narrow roads. Very little traffic thankfully but I couldn't believe that this was the main route to this mountain. As I got close to the top there was ice on the roads, a good excuse for my winter tyres. The road down the other side was significantly busier, clearly that's the way to get to the top!
That evening I was driving through a town and a gritter came out in front of me. I was planning to stop at a castle and surprisingly the gritter pulled into the castle road. After some deliberation I followed and took some pictures. I left expecting to be behind the gritter again but luckily it had gone a different way.
