Day 2 I set off to Llandudno in the morning to see the smallest house. The waterfront was very quiet, with just a few people about. A couple asked me to take a photo of them which I did and wished them a happy Christmas. I tried to drive around the toll road to the west but it was closed with no one to take toll payment. My next stop was Llanfairpwllgwyngyll to take a photo next to the longest town name.

I was heading for Holyhead lighthouse and wanted to get close to the sea from the road, however after some wrong navigation I ended up on a private road and not where I could get to the sea. I didn't want to waste time going back on myself so I went on to the lighthouse. I could park there and went for a walk to a viewpoint overlooking the lighthouse. There was quite a few families around here and the wind was fierce. The lighthouse itself was closed but I walked down as far as I could to it.

On may way to Blencathra National Park I stopped at another raw milk vending machine, but this time it wasn't an accident. Once replenished I continued in the national park stopping at the nice views.

In the evening I decided to head to the Brecon Beacons so I could start there at first light. I stopped at Aberystwyth on the way. It was late and dark when I stopped. The castle grounds looked very spooky and I could hear the sea along the front but I couldn't really see it, the black of night merging with the black sea. I kept going to a layby to spend the night near the next National Park.
